Job title: Teacher of PE & Child Development. 
Location: Academy 360, Sunderland. 
Start date: January 2023. 
Position: full time, Permanent. 
Salary scale: £25,714 to £41,604 (M1 – UPS3) per annum. 


The role

Aquinas Education are seeking to appoint a Teacher of P.E. and Child Development for Academy 360 with effect from 1st January 2023 or sooner. In May 2022 Academy 360 was rated ‘Good’ by OFSTED where pupils were recognised as being ‘aspirational and committed to their studies’. Leaders ‘show a strong moral purpose’, have established an ‘ambitious curriculum’ and are ‘inclusive in approach and want the best for all pupils’. Academy 360 holds the prestigious Inclusion Quality Mark (IQM) and is recognised as a Centre of Excellence.

The successful candidate will be an outstanding, passionate and flexible PE Teacher. They will join our hard working, well-resourced department. The successful candidate will need to have the drive, commitment and excellent skills necessary to work within the Academy.

About the school – Academy 360

The Academy is a member of the Laidlaw School Trust (LST). The Laidlaw Schools Trust is a growing family of seven schools helping transform thousands of young lives in North East England. LST invests significantly in the training and development of all staff and is able to offer all staff a wide range of opportunities and benefits.

Academy 360 is an all-through Academy providing education for students aged 4-16. As a member of Laidlaw Schools Trust it benefits from the support of being a partner in a small local Multi Academy Trust which also includes one of the main feeder Primary schools for Academy 360’s Secondary school.

The successful candidate will join a successful MAT where all Academies support each other to the benefit of our pupils and their families. Our Academies also enjoy strong support from an experienced LST central team, based in Newcastle upon Tyne.
