EAL Teachers and Assistants – Newcastle and Sunderland
Aquinas Education are looking for a number of EAL Teachers and teaching assistants for the Laidlaw Trust to join the teaching staff in a number of their schools in Newcastle and Sunderland, to start asap.
The positions are permanent and the school is looking to bring teachers and teaching assistants in with previous experience as an EAL Teacher, someone who is currently in a teaching assistant role or willing to train. They have a number of pupils from Eastern European, Slovakian, Gypsy Roman and Italian backgrounds who need additional support in English language.
They require teachers and assistants who are friendly, hard-working and able to bring their own ideas to the classroom.
All of the Laidllaw academies are inclusive, supporting children from different backgrounds and with additional needs. They are proud of the diversity of their communities – illustrated by the fact that in some of their schools over 50 different languages are spoken.
Whatever their starting point in life, they aim to help their pupils to overcome any barriers that they may face, so that they can reach for the skies.
