  • Innovative and resourceful teaching methods.

Introduction

Aquinas Education is seeking to recruit a Cover Supervisor, for an immediate start on a temporary basis for a school in Mansfield. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is considering a career in teaching or for someone qualified but seeking further school experience.

About the role

  • You will need good interpersonal and organisational skills to lead planned lessons, with the ability to relate to the young people in our schools
  • Be confident with using behaviour management strategies
  • Ability to encourage and help maintain a comfortable environment

Roles and Responsibilities 

  • Covering a variety of subjects across KS3/KS4
  • Ensure that pupils are engaging in pre-planned work
  • Work in a variety of schools in your local area or the area of your choice
  • Provide feedback to the class teacher on pupil attendance, engagement and completion of work task

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be willing to register with Aquinas Education and complete all required vetting checks
  • Hold a Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child-barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child-related reference
