Today was a great day for The Firbeck Academy! Aquinas Foundation paid a visit to the school to deliver a Brand New Land Rover Mountain Bike. The bike will be used as an incentive for the pupils to achieve 100% attendance throughout the year. It will be mounted in the school hall as a reminder for the children of what they could win by simply turning up to school every day. Punctuality is another area the school will look at, if the children have made a vast improvement on attendance and punctuality but may have had a day off due to illness etc then they may still be considered for a chance to win the bike. This is a great way to keep the students on target and focused for the entirety of the year.

Debbie Gorstridge the attendance officer at Firbeck was very excited to receive the bike for the school and will be launching the project this week in assembly.
