Aquinas Foundation has a new exciting project which we are about to launch. Our project will work with schools in Nottingham city center to provide an incentive for current pupils to aim high and work hard to achieve goals within the school. What we are striving to do as a charity is change attitudes towards education. We are very happy to be getting more and more supporters and are lucky enough to have the support of Sasha Matthews who swims with the Great Britain Team and is also from Nottingham. The school would run this project over one term and the two students with the biggest transformation would be chosen. The prize will be an hours swimming lesson with some of the members from Team GB in a training pool in Nottingham City Centre.
Sasha won the Bronze medal at the 2010 commonwealth games in Delhi and has been swimming since the age of 7 becoming professional at the age of 13. Amongst many international event successes, Sasha is a European junior Gold, Silver, and Bronze medallist.
We want this project to focus on aspirations and motivating the children to be the best they can be. This fantastic opportunity would be awarded to the two students that the school feel has most improved and had the most significant turnaround showing clear focus and determination towards a goal.
We are very fortunate to have Sasha on board with Aquinas Foundation and look forward to seeing the project unfold.
