Jack Cole from Aquinas Education made an important visit to St John Houghton Academy to support the school on their charity event… together with our donation they managed to raise a fantastic amount to go towards such a great cause. Well done to everyone involved.

“Hi Jack,

Thank you so much for taking time out from your day to support the presentation this morning.

Many thanks for your kindness and generosity in our charity fundraising.  It’s been great working with you.

St John Horton Derbyshire

We are very happy at The Aquinas Foundation to receive this special message from St John Horton in Derbyshire,

“Just a note to thank you so much for your very kind financial donation towards the set up costs of our 2017 fun run event.  As you know, this year’s event was held in memory of our colleague Mick Hackett and our participants raised funds for The Motor Neurone Disease Association.  The charity had supported Mick and his family during his illness.

I’m very pleased to say that, with your help, we have managed to raise £1470.89 for the charity.  The funds will be used by the Nottingham branch of the MNDA.”

Sneinton C of E Primary School

: September 12, 2017 12:07 pm s Leave your thoughts

Sneinton C of E have increased their attendance score this year with the help of the Aquinas Foundation…

“It certainly helps to have Aquinas as a sponsor and partner in improving our attendance and incentives certainly do help if they are promoted over a period of time, children like to see what they may win.

Our attendance has steadily increased over the past 2 years whilst working with Aquinas as you can see below:

Attendance over 2015 – 2016    96.6%

Attendance over 2016 – 2017    97.1%

This is a significant increase and without doubt the use of incentives and rewards works towards that improvement.”

(Tom Buckmaster-Attendance Improvement Co-ordinator Transform Trust)

We will continue to work closely with Sneinton C of E to help raise their attendance and attainment this year.

Arnbrook Primary

: September 12, 2017 12:06 pm s Leave your thoughts

The Aquinas Foundation have been working closely with Arnbrook Primary school for a few years now and have seen a massive change in the school’s attendance. Attendance was one of their weaker areas and so we looked at different incentives and ideas that could help raise the attendance levels and these have worked tremendously!

Arnbrook Primary School Testimonial
At Arnbrook we serve a local area of significant disadvantage; 45% of our pupils qualify for Free School Meals. Historically, Arnbrook has had issues with attendance and punctuality. Aquinas have provided our school with a whole host of prizes, free passes and gifts for the last two years as rewards for our children for excellent attendance. The response from our children for such prizes has been absolutely fantastic and many parents and carers comment on the quality of the attendance awards we present to the children. The impact of the donations from Aquinas have led to a sea-change in the attitude of the school community towards attendance; children want to be in school, every day, on time and parents and carers do all they can to ensure their children don’t miss a session! Attendance has improved across the school thanks to the incentives provided, leading to healthier, happier children with improved outcomes for all. A huge thank you from all at Arnbrook for your continued support!

Headteacher – Arnbrook Primary School

“The biggest difference so far is during march madness we had attendance over 95% that might have been the first time in a few years!” Jill Millar (Attendance officer)

Keep up the good work Arnbrook!
